Characteristics: DMG FEX is a combined product containing a number of nutraceuticals (dimethylglycine, trimethylglycine, inositol and group-B vitamins), which support the functioning of the immune, nervous and other systems, increase resistance to both mental and physical stress, contribute to protection against cardiovascular diseases. Thanks to their antioxidant effect, they protect the body against the effects of free radicals, thus contributing to the protection of organs and supporting the healing process when the body is weakened, or during convalescence. Dimethylglycine (DMG) is the body's own substance, an important component of cellular metabolism, mainly because it allows the so-called methylation, which is a process necessary for the physiological production and functioning of body tissues and organs. DMG improves energy metabolism, through its antioxidant effect protects tissues, and contributes to the adequate functioning of, for example, the nervous and immune systems. It allows to better withstand stress and supports regeneration processes. It reduces the level of homocysteine therefore has a cardioprotective effect. (Homocysteine is an oxidative substance that produces reactive oxygen species; elevated homocysteine levels lead to oxidative stress and constitute a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases). As clinical studies have shown, the beneficial effect of DMG in improving the function of the immune system, both in humoral and cellular components of immunity, is particularly important. Likewise DMG, betaine (trimethylglycine) is a biogenic substance (the body's own). The functions of betaine are closely related to dimethylglycine and other substances contained in the product, such as folic acid and vitamin B12. All of them are used as methylating agents (methyl group donors) and thus support many essential reactions of the physiological metabolism. This allows for the proper liver function, cell division and detoxification reactions. Betaine also plays a role in protecting the kidneys. By acting on the conversion of homocysteine, it contributes to the reduction of its level and thus has a cardioprotective effect. Inositol is a biogenic substance that plays a major role in cell signalling, it is also important for cell structure (as part of cell membranes) and their differentiation. Inositol is involved in the physiological metabolism of fatty acids and cholesterol. Adequate intake of inositol is essential for many cellular functions, it is especially important for the proper function of the nervous system including mental functions; it contributes, for example, to protect against mood disorders. Group-B vitamins play the role of coenzymes in numerous enzyme systems. As coenzyme of energy metabolism, vitamin B1 (thiamin) is important for obtaining energy from carbohydrates and for ensuring the proper function of nerves and muscles. Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) is needed for most oxidation-reduction processes, as part of enzymes it enters the respiratory chain, it is involved in the so-called beta-oxidation of fatty acids (gaining energy from fats), it is needed to activate other vitamins. Riboflavin is important for the visual function, is involved in the production of hormones in the adrenal glands and the formation of blood cells as well. Vitamin B3 (niacin) is used in redox reactions in the synthesis and degradation of carbohydrates, fatty acids and amino acids, it is important for DNA replication. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is involved in the metabolism of amino acids, prevents the increase of homocysteine levels, thus counteracting the development of atherosclerosis and contributing to the protection against cardiovascular diseases. It is important for the synthesis of neurotransmitters, has a positive effect on the functioning of the nervous and immune systems. Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) is involved as coenzyme in nucleic acid synthesis, lipid and protein metabolism. It plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis and the functioning of the nervous system, also participates in the cardiovascular protection. Folic acid is reduced to tetrahydrofolate, which is involved in the formation of nucleic acids (DNA, RNA) and erythrocyte production, it reduces homocysteine levels, and therefore has a cardioprotective effect. Essential oil from orange (Citrus sinensis L. var. Dulcis) is a traditional ingredient used for its calming and relaxing properties (in order to increase efficiency, this component of the preparation has been activated by the so-called spagyric method of preparation).

Product status: Food supplement.
